  1. Resolved Question: Why the usa haven't removed fidel from Cuba ?
  2. 30 May 2008 at 8:34pm
fidel has been the sworn enemy of the usa for decades. Were they waiting for fidel to be knocking at the doors of the White House to do something ? It would be too late then, you know, like it happened with Pearl Harbor

  3. Resolved Question: If the government...?
  4. 30 May 2008 at 6:26pm
lied about the Gulf of Tonkin incident, the attack that sent us into the war in Vietnam ( we found out 20 years later that it never happened - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonkin_Gulf_incident ).... and now they're saying that FDR had foreknowledge of the attack on Pearl Harbor ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearl_Harbor_advance-knowledge_debate )... and we also found out the attack on the Lucitania that sent us into WWI was an "inside job" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Lusitania )... and the government planned but never carried out "Operation Northwoods, a false-flag terror event meant to get public support for an attack on Cuba in 1962 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods ).... Then how do we know that they didn't plan 9/11 as well? Or at least know about it beforehand? The stuff I'm talking about I've verified through multiple sources... not just wiki.

  5. Voting Question: Should we withdraw from the UN?
  6. 30 May 2008 at 5:31pm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_withdrawal_from_the_Unit ed_Nations#Public_opinion Polls in 2006 showed that the UN's approval ratings are at levels comparable to those of George Bush and only a slight majority (57%) supported remaining a member of the UN. Considering that the UN has been attacking the US Constitution (specifically with their attempts to promote "gun control," which is clearly prohibited by the 2nd Amendment), has been trying to start an International Court, has been trying to claim the oceans as its territory, and that it has been a miserable failure at its goal of peacekeeping (there have been more wars in the later half of the 20th century than in the 19th century) and promoting human rights (the "Human Rights Council" is loaded with human rights violators; Saudi Arabia and Cuba are on that council in 2009), should we get US out of UN?

  13. Resolved Question: Flight transfers in South and Central America?
  14. 30 May 2008 at 7:38am
I really fancy going to Argentina (Buenos Aires and some stuff out of the city too) and my friend is thinking of going to Cuba. Does anyone know of a good travel website that would let us book flights that went something like London - Havana - North Argentina - Buenos Aires - London? I thought STA travel would be good but their website doesn't let you have that many options.... Any ideas? I live in London but I'd fly from pretty much anywhere in the UK if it was cheaper.

Cuba's indigenous people were obliterated before the turn of the sixteenth century. And when I think of latino or hispanic I think of amerindian or mestizo. Yes Cubans do speak spanish as the official language but why can't it be considered like a european nation outside of Europe or like Spain # 2 ?

  23. Resolved Question: Is Obama a Socialist or Capitalist?
  24. 29 May 2008 at 8:47pm
Many of my friends are calling Obama a socialist. Obama did said it is time to end the embargo with Cuba without preconditions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIlhTVyZfYY&eurl=http://savagepolitics.com/ Socialist leaders and dictators around the world have voiced support for Obama to win. These individuals include Ahmed Yousef (Hamas), Hugo Chavez (Venezuela), Fidel Castro (Cuba) and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (Iran). http://savagepolitics.com/ Why do many of America's most ardent opponents support and like Obama? world/unity/peace: I'm not arguing anything. sounds like you are in your response. So much for world unity & peace.

  28. 29 May 2008 at 4:40pm
China will be drilling for oil off the Florida coast. They have re-established an abandoned refinery in Cuba and intend to ship the oil out of Bermuda. The drilling will not be straight down but will be angular and China could be drilling from our oil off the Florida coast. They are not prepared for an unexpected oil spill and this could be hazardous to the Florida coast and marine ecosystem.

Do you know that most Canadians don't like americans because they are ignorant towards us? That we burnt down their white house? That europeans HATE americans but LOVE canadians? 31. Resolved Question: Are any Americans worried about this?
  32. 29 May 2008 at 2:47pm
I myself am American. I just read this article about how Spanish is becoming the dominant language in Miami. Yes, I am worried that soon Spanish will be the dominant language in all of America. I believe that Mexicans and Cuban people that move here illegally or legally SHOULD learn English, because this IS America, not Cuba or Mexico. This really bothers me that we are forced to learn THEIR language for THEM to understand US. How do you feel about this? http://news.aol.com/story/_a/spanish-becoming-language-of-miami/20080529072009990001 I agree that we should learn each others languages, and I have no problem with that, but do you see them learning English at all?

  35. Resolved Question: Why does this not bother intelligent voters?
  36. 29 May 2008 at 2:08pm
In just 62 days Obama had 8 different explanations for his relationship with Rev. Wright. In Oct. he made a stand on principle I assume, by not wearing the flag lapel pin but by Apr. when he was speeking before more conservative voters in PA. it had become a "manufactured issue" "sometimes I wear it sometimes I don't" that is no longer a stand on principles that is pandering. In July Obama pleged to meet personally , without preconditions, during his first year with leaders of Iran, Syria,Venezuela,Cuba and N. Korea.By Oct. Obama was backpeddling ,talking about needing "some progress or some indication of good faith" . Please answer this question, I do not need an example of what Bush did or what Mc Cain did or Hillary's flip flops. I want to know how you explain away his lack of principle, I would have respected each of his first stands on any of these issues, disagreed but respected, because he would have had the courage to stand on his principles, the courage to lead.

  37. Resolved Question: Will you take action to help lower gas prices?
  38. 29 May 2008 at 1:06pm
A National movement is starting to pressure congress into taking concrete action to lower gas prices. The US has more than 3X the oil in Saudi Arabia in Shale oil. (illegal to use) The US does not allow american companies to drill in the Eastern Gulf (Now cuba and China are) The US does not allow exploration on the western continental shelf The US does not allow exploration on the eastern continental shelf Theu US has more coal than any other nation in the world (can be turned into oil) We can become a net exporter lowering fuel costs by at least 50% if we "allow" oil companies to look for and drill oil. This will - increase the value of the dollar - eliminate the trade deficit - Bring in more US HIGH PAYING jobs - allow for lower personnal taxes through higher tax collections for oil produciton Are you willing to support lower gas prices? Here is the web site http://www.americansolutions.com/actioncenter/petitions/?Guid=54ec6e43-75a8-445b-aa7b -346a1e096659 I am an energy manager. I design and install wind, solar, and geothermal projects. They are neither enough (yet) nor are they adequate for vehicles. Hydrogen may be the answer, but time is needed to develop it. Drilling will buy time.

  45. Resolved Question: Is this just another reason for libs to support Obama?
  46. 29 May 2008 at 10:56am
Obama Dogged By Praise From America?s Foes In a presidential race in which unwanted, damaging endorsements seem far more plentiful than endorsements that actually could help, Barack Obama has had the unfortunate distinction of being a magnet for such well-wishers. The latest unsought praise for the Democratic front-runner came from Fidel Castro, who wrote in a column for Cuba?s Granma newspaper Monday that Obama is ?the most progressive candidate to the U.S. presidency.? http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/05/28/obama-dogged-by-praise-from-americas-foes/ "Hero of the Stupid " Great choice for ID's.

  57. Resolved Question: Ever wonder why Obama can't see or recognize the evil?
  58. 29 May 2008 at 9:33am
If you look at JFK and Obama, you will see that they are polar opposites. JFK had the foresight to recognize evil when he saw it. Not so with Obama. He refuses to recognize that Evil exists Obama's only foreign policy seems to be TALK. Talk without a strong military is worhless. He is already back stroking on his promises. Originally he wanted to meet with Iran, N.Korea, Cuba and other nations "unconditionally". Now he wants to set an agenda prior to meetings. During the terms of Clinton and Bush, there have been terriorist attacks in 1993 and again in 2001. So I guess, we should be asking who should be in White House if another attack occurs. Someone with experience to handle an attack or someone who wants to "negotiate" with the terriorists. A warrior or a talker? MiMi, wake up, you are living in a dream world. jkls, yes, JFK did talk to Khrushchev, and he had his finger on the trigger the whole time and KHrushchev knew it. Talk is fine as long as you have the means to back it up. Obama doesn't have a plan beyond TALK. No substance there. Valerie v, thanks for the link. That's so typical of Obama, switch back and forth. If he can't dazzle with brilliance, he baffles with B.S. Gary, some good points, but Bush is not runnng for re-election and we can't just run out of Iraq. The next Commander-in-Chief should at least have some idea of lhow things work. We know for a fact that Obama is unreliable at best. RWPH, great answer TheK, maybe you need to bone up on your candidate. He said repeatedly that he would set no 'Conditions' when meeting with foreign leaders. Now he wants to set an agenda. Sounds wishy-washy to me.

  59. Resolved Question: is it comparable ? Taiwan and china.. America and cuba.?

My friend asked to compare. i denied, but he asked me to say after getting answers from yahoo answer team. He knows that i am a member of yahoo. i don't know the answer. i know that in 1949 Chiang kai shek fled to the island with his troops and formed a separate country named Taiwan. i don't know the history of cuba. one thing is sure. Both Taiwan and cuba are islands. China really interested in unifying process. Historians to answer about cuba and its history.

  65. Resolved Question: Mbeki continues to display he is "Fit to Garden"?
  66. 29 May 2008 at 3:41am
From the Washington Post yesterday: In late April, about the time this e-mail was written, President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa -- Zimbabwe's influential neighbor -- addressed a four-page letter to President Bush. Rather than coordinating strategy to end Zimbabwe's nightmare, Mbeki criticized the United States, in a text packed with exclamation points, for taking sides against President Robert Mugabe's government and disrespecting the views of the Zimbabwean people. "He said it was not our business," recalls one American official, and "to butt out, that Africa belongs to him." Adds another official, "Mbeki lost it; it was outrageous." It is also not an aberration. South Africa has actively blocked United Nations discussions about human rights abuses in Zimbabwe -- and in Belarus, Cuba, North Korea and Uzbekistan. South Africa was the only real democracy to vote against a resolution demanding that the Burmese junta stop ethnic cleansing and free jailed dissident Aung San Suu Kyi. When Iranian nuclear proliferation was debated in the Security Council, South Africa dragged out discussions and demanded watered-down language in the resolution. South Africa opposed a resolution condemning rape and attacks on civilians in Darfur -- and rolled out the red carpet for a visit from Sudan's genocidal leader. In the General Assembly, South Africa fought against a resolution condemning the use of rape as a weapon of war because the resolution was not sufficiently anti-American. He lashes out whenever he believes that Westerners are telling Africans how to conduct their lives, or who their leaders should be. So for years he viewed AIDS treatment as a plot of Western pharmaceutical companies -- and now he helps shield Mugabe from global outrage. And this debate is clarifying a question across southern Africa: Did revolutionary parties in the region fight for liberation or for liberty? If merely for liberation from Western imperialism, then aging despots and oppressive ruling parties have a claim to power. But if for liberty, those who work for freedom in Zimbabwe must also have their day. So far, South Africa -- of all places -- sides with the despots. Zim - One of the consequences of Alcoholism is forgetfulness. Arent you amazed that Mbeki is the only "truthful" person on the Planet and why would anyone in the civilised World invent stories about an irrelevant and 3rd World moron?

  71. Resolved Question: Ethnic census are ridiculous?
  72. 28 May 2008 at 11:48pm
Just out of curiosity, how many people think the the ethnic census they put on documents ( ie college applications) are ridiculous. I mean there not even accurate. Example, they will usually say like hispanic (non white) or white (non) hispanic as if its a contradiction (apparently no one has ever been to Argentina, Cuba, Uruguay. etc..). But then for people who are middle eastern they have to check white or other. Personally, I think the whole b/s and it is used to marginalized groups politically. What do you think? PS: I a white Hispanic ( even though according to these documents I don't exist).
